I’ve already got a domain name – Can I use it?
Sure. Get in touch and we’ll tell you what you need to do.
Can I have a .com or .ie domain name instead?
Your website comes with a free .co.uk address. You can however change this to a .com or .ie but registrar fees are slightly more expensive. Contact us for more details.
Can you guarantee I’ll be number one in Google?
Woah, no! And don’t believe anyone who says they can. More than likely your site will end up banned. Ask us for more details.
Can I buy a Business Web Page and later upgrade to a full website later?
Yes, no problem. A Business Web Page is a great way of securing a domain name and getting a professional email address. Come back when you’re ready to go for a full website.
How quickly can I get a website?
It all depends on you! If you’ve decided which images you want, written all your content and promptly approved each of the RedJam 3 stage sign-off process, then we could get your website live in under a few days!
Does the RedJam Update Centre work on both PCs and Macs?
Yes. All our websites can be viewed from any current browser. However, to use the RedJam Update Centre, we recommend Internet Explorer or Firefox for PCs and Safari or Firefox for Macs.
Do I have to update the website myself?
We’ve developed open source technology to bring you the RedJam Update Centre to make it easy for you to do it yourself, but you don’t have to. IF you’d like us to update your site for you, we can do it at our usual hourly artwork rate.
Can I make changes to my Master Page layout once I’ve approved it?
Only if you want us to start again. The Master Page layout is fundamental to the design, so we can’t start coding your site until you’re happy with this layout. If you change it later, there will be some additional charges and delays.
I’ve seen cool sites where images dim the screen and enlarge. Can you do them?
Oh sure! We call them lightbox galleries and we can add them to your site.
Can I put video on my site?
Upload your videos to YouTube and we can embed them on to your website.
I want to sell my products online. Can you help?
Definitely. If you’ve got a small range of products or services, we can help you sell them online. Contact us for more details.
How should I supply text and images to you?
We prefer the text to be in Word format and the images saved as JPEG or PNG files. We can work with most formats though, so if you’ve got them in a different format ask us for advice. NOTE - All large files can be sent via the File Uploads link of our website. Just search the Client tab from our Top Menu.
How can I find out how my website performs?
We can set up your site for use through Google Analytics which gives you a huge amount of detail with lots of pretty graphs too!
How/When do I pay for my site?
Once we have quoted you for your project we will issue you with an order form which has to be returned with a 50% deposit to commission the work. The remainder is due on sign-off of the site and prior to launch.
Can I pay in monthly instalments?
As a small business and because most of the work involved in developing the site is done upfront we can only accept design fees in the manner covered above.
What methods of payment do you accept and how do I pay?
There are several methods of payment we accept. You can pay by credit or debit card online or by phone. You could also pay by BACS transfer or post a cheque. Please note that we do not start work until payment (deposit) has been received, unless previously agreed by ourselves.
